Ohio Train Derailment – The Story And The Aftermath

On February 3rd just before 9 p.m. ET a Norfolk Southern train derailed near East Palestine, Ohio, a small town of only 4,800 people sitting near the border of Ohio and Pennsylvania. While no one was hurt in the accident the train was carrying about 20 cars of hazardous materials according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). What we know about the train: The train was carrying 150 rail cars containing cargo, that was not hazardous. Those cars held cement, steel, and frozen vegetables, according to the trains manifest.
